Join The Outdoor Guys, Ken Taylor and Brian Wright, Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. on ESPN 1510 Radio as they host the premier outdoors radio show in the Kansas City market.

The Outdoor Guys bring listeners compelling content featuring local, regional, and national experts from the outdoor industry. Weekly segments include feature guests, field reports, special events, great destinations, and more. From fishing and hunting, to camping, cooking and beyond, spend an hour each week with Ken and Brian and they cover the great outdoors in an entertaining and educational format.

About Ken Taylor   Read Ken's Stories
Ken is a free-lance outdoor writer and long-time English teacher and football coach.  Ken has spent the past eleven years at Blue Valley North High School, where he is the Department Chair for Communication Arts and teaches Advanced Placement English.

Ken has been hunting since he was old enough to pick up a BB gun, and is passing that passion on to his two sons.  Both boys love to hunt and shoot and are also avid fisherman.  He credits his dad with instilling in him a love for hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.  Thanks mostly to his understanding wife, Ken spends between 30 and 60 days a year hunting, over half of those with the boys in tow.  Ken enjoys hunting big game, upland birds, and waterfowl in both Kansas and Missouri.  The rest of his year is spent fishing on their home lake, shooting at Powder Creek Gun Club, and training Gauge, the family’s Vizsla and Ken’s most reliable hunting partner.

Ken is a contributing writer for an outdoor magazine, and co-host of The Outdoor Guys on ESPN 1510.

Brian Wright is a veteran sports writer, photographer and editor. His blend of words and images has earned him a reputation as one of the Midwest’s premier journalists.

Over the past 18 years, Wright has written about and photographed local and national sporting events. Hundreds of his articles and photographs have been published. He has been credentialed both as a writer and photographer covering the PGA Tour, Major League Baseball, the National Football League, NCAA basketball, and The Bassmaster Classic.

Wright is also a veteran radio broadcaster. He has contributed to sports talk radio for more than a dozen years, hosting his own show, Kansas City Golf Guide Radio Hour, for the past six years. The show can be heard on Sports Radio 810 WHB, an ESPN Radio affiliate in the Kansas City market.

That being said, Wright's passion is the great outdoors. An avid fisherman since he was a tadpole, Brian also has a keen interest in boating, camping, black powder firearms, and conservation. He is a contributed writer for several outdoor publications. He spends a significant amount of time on the water in his Ranger boat.

Wright is a member of the Outdoor Writers of Kansas, Missouri Outdoor Communicators, and the Golf Writers Association of America. He is co-host of The Outdoor Guys on ESPN 1510 and host of Kansas City Golf Guide Radio Hour on Sports Radio 810 WHB.
